I bought a skybox today. I picked up the most adorable skybox by Amerie’s Naughty at the iTuTu skybox event and I love it. Up until now I’d been using a prefab that I stuck up in the air but I had started to grow a bit tired of it so this was just the change I needed. The only change I made was adding my own backdrop to it. I even got to finally use my tire swing from Catnip!! After I moved my shop skyward that was the end of my cute tree and my swing, but yay for getting to use it again.

Here’s a sneak peak at one of the skins I’ll be sending my update group on Friday. I’m going to *try* doing the whole group gift through my subscriber kiosk again. I really, really am nervous about it considering the unholy backlash from last time… but my group hit over 800 members (!!!!) and I really want to send something to them that is special and exclusive and not just something up in the store for everyone. *Fingers crossed* that no one gets upset if they miss out because I’ve resolved myself to only giving it to my group members.. no exceptions this time. We’ll see how long that resolve holds out if I get yelled at again. I’d hand deliver every one but even that won’t solve the problem of people feeling they are owed the gift even if they weren’t in the group just because they heard about it after the fact. >.< No good deed goes unpunished the saying goes and I’m still bummed that I have this feeling of dread over the whole thing.

On another note, I finally caved and got a Pro Flickr account. They finally strong armed me into it. >.< I just hope I can justify it with mass amount of pictures. :D

No One Saves The Day

Staying away from Second Life has been far harder than I had anticipated… I really can’t shirk some IMs and things, which is proving to be costly because every time I log in I decide I need new hair from Deviant Kitties. >.<  I really don’t have much to say today… it was a pretty quiet day all together.  Once again, I took a song literally and then went off on a wild tangent.  It’s my new favorite thing to do.

I’ve gone crazy in a maze…

Sometimes the weirdest things give me inspiration. I had to deal with a bi… er… let’s just call her a less than savory individual yesterday and it really got my blood boiling. But I’ll spare you the diatribe related to this particular conversation. The weird part came from the fact that I’d put on Wolf Parade’s “Wits or a Dagger” to listen to (on repeat) right before this happened and because the conversation went ON AND FREAKING ON, I wasn’t able to get over to stop the song from repeating itself over and over so the whole while I was reading this individual’s “issues” I kept hearing the same song. I took the song quite literally after a while. I couldn’t find a labyrinth that I liked so I made one. And, as per usual, picture intensive… and looks better large.

Hal*Hina Freebie

Ok, so self-imposed exiles rarely seem to work for me… especially when there are awesome freebies to be had! I popped back into SL to grab this adorable little set which was a generous group gift from Hal*Hina. I thought I’d go hang out at Tempura Island to take a few screenies because It’s so peaceful and lovely… at least it was until some dood decided to land in front of me and leer. >.< Gah. I bolted immediately so I only managed these two shots. But if you haven’t been to Tempura Island, it’s really a must visit, it’s stunning. I’ll also take a moment to plug the super awesome site Beanie Loves Japan which is where I found out about this freebie! Ok, back to my regularly scheduled exile. :P

Lousy Pictures

I find myself pretty much haunting the same handful of my favorite places in SL for screenshot takin’ and would love some recs on new places to go.  My few quirky stipulations would be that the place doesn’t have an insane amount of RP rules.. or any RP rules for that matter.  I usually get scared off by receiving a billion notecards laying out all the things I’m not allowed to do in a zone.  That’s fine, I understand they are trying to create an environment there.. but that kind of thing just freaks me out so I typically leave, never to return.  I’m a skittish deer, what can I say… I spook easily.  I’m not looking to RP, I’m just wanting to take a few screenies with something other than a plain backdrop.  I also would prefer a spot that isn’t crammed to the gills with green dots.  That one is there because I’m anti-social and to save myself Photoshop time cropping out newbies that wandered into my screenshot.  :P  So if you have favorite places you’d like to share, please comment or send me an LM in world!  Thanks!! :D

I aim to misbehave

I was lusting after the Thursday hair from Gritty Kitty and I decided to treat myself since I’ve been sick. :P I’m finally feeling better though! :D I’m sure you’ve seen this hair everywhere and that’s because it is absolutely awesome. One of the big problems with wearing hats in SL is prim hair has to be modded within an inch of it’s prim life to fit under a hat and that’s a lot of work. Here, the work is done for you! Yay! And omg, the options.. everything from the hat band to the individual feathers is scripted to change colors. As soon as that hair hit my head I felt like I was a character in the television series, Firefly. If you haven’t heard of it, it was a short lived Joss Whedon series on Fox and it’s a must see.. especially if you are at all into sci-fi or westerns because it’s meshes the two genres into one very entertaining bundle. So I kinda threw on a mix of my typical steampunk look and some wild frontier together, blared some Abney Park (beware, music on that page usually starts playing immediately) and went over to Plunder to take some pictures. And per usual, I had a hard time parring things down, so there’s a ton of pictures. :D I just adore this look.. I’ll probably be wearing it for a while just because I feel like a bad ass airship pirate in it. XD  Oh and in other good news, I found OMFG’s stuff on SL Exchange! Wewt!!

6-22 and nothing new

I’m sick… again, blech. :( Between that and SL still weirding out on me, I’ve been playing a lot more WoW since there’s an event going on right now which is always good fun. I never got around to reinstalling like I had wanted to.. I’m a lazy bum. So hopefully sometime this week I can get everything sorted out and get back into SL. So yeah, since there are no new SL pictures, I’m going to post some screenshots from WoW instead. :D

So SL is still giving me fits. I’m just not loading at all, I can’t change clothes. I’m pretty annoyed. I think tomorrow I’ll go scorched earth and reinstall the whole kit and caboodle. I’ve also been having issues in WoW so there might be some low lying computer issue to blame. So yeah, no pictures again today.
