Despite having to fight Photoshop and my computer every freakin’ step of the way, I’m still attempting to make things whenever I get the chance… I just hope my little computer will keep begrudgingly working with me as long as possible. *fingers crossed* I think I’m finally getting the hang of matching up seams. I have to admit, I don’t know the first thing about how to really use Photoshop and I’m not embarrassed to admit that. I’ve never taken a class or read a book and most of what I’ve been able to accomplish comes from pure trial and error. I’m sure real graphic artists would cringe or be disgusted or both if they knew how I did stuff lol. I didn’t start out to make such a sexy looking little thing but after playing with it that’s just how it uh, blossomed. :P I’m pretty happy with the shape but I don’t know if these will ever see the light of day. But if you want them just poke me in world and I’ll toss them your way. :D

A funny aside, I was out and about wearing this outfit when some random dude asked me if I was an angel. I think I might have snorted some soda out of my nose. If you are going to hit on a demon, might want to try a different line next time. >.< OOooooh and this was the first time Fricka has ever been hit on! Too bad it was so full of fail.

And another aside, I seriously cannot rave and rave enough about these hoof boots by Lazy Places. I love, love, love them so much. <3

I haven’t done one of these in a while so I figured why not… especially since it’s the look I’ve been mostly sporting the past few days. Three of my new favorite things are in this look; the badass horns and tail from The Stringer Mausoleum which I haven’t taken off in a while and the new piercing from .:ellabella:. which is really detailed and so neat looking, I really wish I could have gotten a better picture of it because it’s really rad. Sorry the pictures kinda suck this time around but my computer is really slogging it up lately and Photoshop is running at pretty much a standstill so simple tweaking is about all I’ve been able to muster lately. >.< But yay, I actually put in slurls this time! Go me!

Lunawell

I’m a WoW geek, yes, we all know that. So if there’s a way for me to bring a little Draenei, Night Elf or various WoW goodness into SL I’m usually all over it. The other day while half-heartedly skimming the fashion feed I saw a post from October Rust showing his new Lunawell.. it was love at first sight. I TP’d immediately and snatched it up without giving much thought to the fact that it hardly went with the Tuscansomething theme I had going on where I live. Nor did I bother to think if I had the room to put the beast. Not to be deterred, I bull-dozed my villa and set about creating my own little Night Elf paradise. It’s a work in process and I don’t have an actual abode to live in but darnit, that moonwell was so totally worth it! I hope, hope, hope that Azazeal Whitfield makes matching pieces to go with this gorgeous well… like the beautiful little elven gazebo I spied near the display for the well. Pretty Pleeeeaassee! ^^;

Tekeli-li Sale!! Hurry!!

I meant to post this much earlier but I got really busy and totally forgot.. but you still have 3 hours to get to Tekeli-li’s 50% off sale before it’s over at midnight!! And go, seriously go. I already have a pretty good collection of weapony and jewelry and today I picked up even more stuff including hair, which I hadn’t purchased until now and I must say, I <3 Tekeli-li. Everything there is absolutely brilliant and the color changing options are so amazing that you can have a totally customized look compared to another person in the same piece. And omg, they used one of my skins in their ad!! **happy dance!** At any rate, I shall cut myself short so I can get this and pictures posted.

Dressed up Feet

I have a terrible cough, and because of this cough I have stayed up way too late and because of staying up too late, I caved. I caved to the shoe/feet combo from SLink. And you know what? I like them, quite a bit actually. They were super easy to tint and that was really important to me since I usually run around in a less than normal skin tone. I pretty much love everything about these shoes, they are super well made and not freakish at all and the little HUD gives you a ton of options for nail colors and all that sort of thing as well as keeping your ankle from “breaking” in poses which is a nice touch. My only complaint is that the shading stayed a weird orangey color even after I tinted it to my goth skin tone so it made my ankles look a little dirty. It’s really only noticeable up close but I’d like to see the shading be more neutral so it could be tinted along with the rest of the foot. The coloring looks fine when tinted to a more normal peach/tan color but it’s midly annoying in super pale colors. (I also wish the strap lining and soles were tintable or at least offered in solid black but now I’m being picky) Overall though, two big toes up, they are very cute and the price didn’t bankrupt me!

Spaced Out

I’m finally back from being out of town for a while. It was nice to get out but unfortunately I’m back with the worst flu I’ve had in ages so I’m super spaced out on Nyquil and lack of sleep. And I don’t really have a reason for this post except that I really like this new piercing from AVZ and the eyes from House of Ruin and the hair from Magika and the horns from Illusions. And with that I’m going to attempt to go to sleep again.

Posemaker Challenge – Long Awkward Pose

I couldn’t take Achariya’s Posemaker Challenge and not mention Long Awkward Pose. Besides having a totally awesome name, the poses are just totally rad. Dove Swanson really rocks pose making. One of my favorite things about LAP is how Dove includes two priorities in her packs to accomodate throwing them into an AO or snapshot taking which is a really nice touch. I’ve actually built my current AO out of a combo of LAP poses so having the lower priority thrown in is very much appreciated. And of course the poses.. from fairy to red carpet, there is so much awesome to choose from. I decided to spotlight some poses from one LAP’s more current sets, Tongue in Cheeky.. which might very well be one of my new favorite sets. ^^

So I tweaked the top a bit… I think I’m maybe enjoying it a bit more because it’s really nice to see it come together in something I wouldn’t be embarrased to wear. :D I re-purposed the corset piercings for this top and I like how that turned out. If there’s a way to fit those suckers onto something I will because they really are one of the things I’m most proud of even though their reception was pretty awful lol. So it’s nice to make them into something with more wearability. I’m still working on the textures and shading and I’m not super happy with them yet.. right now it kinda looks like it’s been washed a 1000 times and is pretty thread bare. I also tried different folds in this version and I think they may be a little too pronounced. Anyhoo, onto the pic.

Posemaker Challenge – Imperial Elegance

I love poses and I love posemakers. It’s amazing how a pose can really drive home the feelings you want to capture in a picture. I also love poses because well, SL doesn’t exactly have the most natural or attractive default poses. I, like so many other bloggers, fail to credit my poses all the time.. but I do try! So I had to take Achariya’s Posemaker Challenge so I could highlight some of my favorite posemakers. So to kick off this challenge, I’m going to spotlight a posemaker who I don’t think gets nearly the attention she deserves, Sai Pennell of Imperial Elegance. I’ve liked her poses since I first set foot into her shop and I think her poses keep getting better and better. Her fashion poses are great, I like that they can be cute and sexy all at the same time. Also one of the things that has stood out to me about her shop is that she sells weapon poses!!!! She won me over with her Gunslinger poses and then again with her Katana poses. Here are a few snaps of poses I especially love. ^^ Oh, and the pose from previous fishing post is also by Sai!
