I’m a huge flake so taking on this 365 Project is probably a terrible idea. But I can’t help myself, I’m a total sheep for this stuff. :P I figured with the New Year starting today, I’ll give it the ol’ college try. I’m not going to limit myself to SL pictures so I’ll probably throw in screenshots of whatever I happen to be messing with that particular day. So without further ado, I managed to snap one last picture of the snow before Byte Island heads into springtime! (And a little plug for Fricker, there are 3 parcels available on Byte Island right now!)

If you’ve seen my store blog, I mentioned I’ve been thinking of closing shop in a few months because things have just taken a nose dive into crapville and it’s getting to the point where it’s not even close to cost effective to even have a shop any longer. But, even though it’s been taking a very heavy toll on my creativity, I dusted off the men’s skin I had started on and finally got it very close to finished. And I’m hella proud of it. I took Eloh Eliot‘s Pleiades skin base (thank you again Eloh for being so freakin’ awesome!!! :D) and then shaded and tweaked and highlighted and modded the everliving crap out of it. I’m not sure if I’ll ever sell the skin or not considering the questionable future of the store.. but we’ll see. Let me know your thoughts. :) Just be gentle, it’s his first time. ;)

My WoW accounts were hacked

*Update! – After some doing, both of my accounts have been restored! Woot!… Also, moral of the story, buy an authenticator. :)

Both of my World of Warcraft accounts were hacked last night. Everything I had is gone. I’ve been playing for four years and had 6 level 80s. Four years gone in the blink of an eye. They stole it all. And what they couldn’t sell they deleted. It’s like I’ve lost a part of myself. Most people won’t understand.. to them it’s just a game and I should just get over it, it’s just pixels after all… but while this may be pixel theft, it’s still theft and I’ve really lost something that I put time and effort into. I lost gear that isn’t even attainable any longer…. I lost all of my gold… all my vanity items.. Everything. I’ve been crying for hours… I’m truly heartbroken. I won’t know until Monday if there is anything that Blizzard can do to fix this.. but if they can’t fix it, I don’t think I can bring myself to play again.

These boots from Kookie firmly enter the realm of things I would never, ever wear irl, but I’ll totally wear them in SL. I live in southwest, it’s ALWAYS hot here. ALWAYS. People try to lie to themselves and pretend like the “weather is fantastic” but it’s pure delusion outside of the two weeks a year where you can walk outside and not feel like you are baking alive. I do tend to run warmer than most normal human beings thus making living here all the more painful. So if I wore these kind of boots irl, I would die. Seriously, I would. My feet would spontaneously combust and then melt the rest of me. It would be messy. But weather is a non-issue in SL so fur lined boots, hell yeah. These particular boots are currently 50L as part of 50L Fridays, so get there before midnight!

Freak

I’m “weird” and “a freak”. As if I needed to be reminded why I don’t leave my skybox, I ventured out today and I wish I hadn’t. I got picked on by a couple of uh.. “ladies” who apparently thought I was camming in on their “gOoDz” which is really quite verboten it would seem. So they called me a freak and told me I was weird. And I told them I’d rather look weird than look like a cheap hooker and then TP’d the hell out. I hate people. I also really effing hate that “feature” that lets people see where you are camming because clearly it’s not very precise because I never even saw the skanks before they approached me, let alone cammed in on them on purpose. *shudder*

Anyways, here’s my look of the day… gray, like my mood has been the past few days… I even made a super pale version of my goth skin tone to really nail down that noir look.

I love the concept of 50L Fridays and immensely enjoy it as a consumer. It’s great to both support a vendor as well as get a bargain priced item at the same time. I have to admit, I’d kill to participate as a vendor but my stuff would be a steaming pile of crap next to the awesomeness that is put out by others each week… ah well, at least I get to enjoy buying stuff instead of slaving to make stuff lol. Two of my faves this week were the tattoos from Silent Sparrow and the unisex jeans from Fishy Strawberry. I failed at screenshots and didn’t do justice to the beautiful tattoos from Silent Sparrow, but trust me, they are stunning, go get them.. you have until midnight SLT tonight!

Aion

Or another time sink for me! If you’ve seen my Flickr feed lately it was inundated with screenshots from the Aion open beta. Sorry! I went a little screenshot happy. After seeing Sai Pennell’s amazing screens, I decided to give the game a shot and I’m glad I did because I found it to be immensely enjoyable. While it isn’t necessarily ground breaking in the MMO world, it’s fun and it has amazing graphics and that’s good enough for me. I really can’t say enough how awesome the graphics are, the game is just visually stunning. Also the characters are incredibly detailed and there is a really large amount of ways you can customize your character. In this game the characters are all basically the same base race of Humans so you’d think everyone would look the same, but not so, with the customization nearly all the toons are very unique. From hair color to height, just about every facet of your character’s appearance are customizable. And of course, that won me over immediately because I’m a sucker for a pretty character. I actually quit playing Warhammer fairly soon because of the hideous characters. They lacked detail and were just plain fug. The game was a tad bit boring as well and not having well designed characters was the nail in the coffin for me. Next to the character selection screen the other stand out of Aion was the ability to change channels within your own server. I’m anti-social and a bit of a hermit so I like to solo and explore and adventure on my own quite a bit and being able to swap to a less populated channel is amazing. Especially when doing obnoxious gathering quests and the like. This was a huge selling point for me. Besides these two things, Aion is your typical fantasy MMO fodder and if you’ve played and enjoyed WoW or Warhammer or just about anything else, you’ll likely find something to enjoy here as well. If you decide to play, let me know, as of right now I’m rolling Asmodian on Triniel and Elyos on Lumiel and likely on Zikel, assuming they don’t shut that server down again. I’d love to see some more SL faces roaming about the Aion landscape. :D

I spent most of the long weekend playing WoW. I’ve been grinding away for a while trying to get The Loremaster achievement and after some massive questing, it’s mine! Thanks to awesome guildies who came through in a pinch to help me finish out some group quests I just couldn’t solo. Yay for friends! But all the questing has taken it’s toll, I’m seriously WoWed out. So I took a break last night and did a little shopping and picked up this stunning new ensemble from Silent Sparrow. I agonized over the color choice.. but in the end, purple won out! One of the things that really stood out for me is the slightly worn and dusty edges to the skirt, such a neat little detail. Yeah, my picture is kinda dorky, blame it on my being up all night and not exactly super lucid.
