Autumn

*sweeps the cobwebs away* Yeah, I really dropped off the radar there. It’s been ages since I really spent any length of time in SL and even longer since I last posted here… I’m not entirely sure what happened really. I think I stopped posting because I got super into Tumblr and pretty much posted everything I had to say over there… and as for SL, well, I guess I just found myself no longer motivated to do anything so I gradually drifted away. Isn’t it really sad when that happens?

But, I’ve found myself logging into SL a bit more lately, mostly to decorate for autumn. And that required dressing up in a suitably autumn-ish ensemble and wearing these glorious horns from Plastik.

LoTD 4-12

All kinds of goodness today!! I have on a lot of my personal favorites today that I think are so worthy of more attention and accolades! I’ll start off with House of Ruin, I pretty much exclusively wear Ruina’s eyes because they are hands down the most unique and stunning eyes I’ve ever come across in SL. She also makes some of my favorite horns in SL too! Next up is Lolapop! Lola makes such super cute creations and offers them at ridiculously cheap prices, if you haven’t checked out her shop, do yourself a favor and see all the goodies she has to offer. I’ve started to sport a mix of horns and elf ears in my looks as of late and my go to ears have always been from Illusions because I just love them. In other news, House of Munster is back! I’ve always loved her hair and best of all, it always fits me straight out of the box! I usually have to mod the living daylights out of hair to make it fit my odd shaped head. I’m super glad to see she’s back to creating and look forward to seeing new things from her! I’m certain you’ve heard of Silent Sparrow, but Hya’s designs always merit credit! I’m wearing her lucky bird outfit with a corset from Sn@tch underneath and like everything she makes, it’s stunning. And a quick mention of the uber cute socks from Pig, which may or may not be available anymore since they were part of the Starlust hunt.. and the adorably cute shoes from Smersh which is a new to me store that I hope to see more footwear out of! You know, it never ceases to amaze me the level of creativity and artistry I find in SL, you guys are truly talented! So there you have it, go shopping!

I love the concept of 50L Fridays and immensely enjoy it as a consumer. It’s great to both support a vendor as well as get a bargain priced item at the same time. I have to admit, I’d kill to participate as a vendor but my stuff would be a steaming pile of crap next to the awesomeness that is put out by others each week… ah well, at least I get to enjoy buying stuff instead of slaving to make stuff lol. Two of my faves this week were the tattoos from Silent Sparrow and the unisex jeans from Fishy Strawberry. I failed at screenshots and didn’t do justice to the beautiful tattoos from Silent Sparrow, but trust me, they are stunning, go get them.. you have until midnight SLT tonight!

Ritual

I spent most of the long weekend playing WoW. I’ve been grinding away for a while trying to get The Loremaster achievement and after some massive questing, it’s mine! Thanks to awesome guildies who came through in a pinch to help me finish out some group quests I just couldn’t solo. Yay for friends! But all the questing has taken it’s toll, I’m seriously WoWed out. So I took a break last night and did a little shopping and picked up this stunning new ensemble from Silent Sparrow. I agonized over the color choice.. but in the end, purple won out! One of the things that really stood out for me is the slightly worn and dusty edges to the skirt, such a neat little detail. Yeah, my picture is kinda dorky, blame it on my being up all night and not exactly super lucid.
