Here’s Alicia’s challenge for Wednesday:
** In SL, we’re often afraid of looking silly. I’ve noticed this more with bloggers than with anyone else. Why have you made your avatar look the way it does? What does it mean to you? Do you think people respond to you differently if you’re attractive? Today, put on something just totally crazy. It can be a funny avatar, a crazy outfit, weird hair, or just some bling-blangin’ jewelry. Go out in public, see if anyone has anything to say about it. See if you think of yourself differently if your avatar isn’t perfect looking. Don’t forget to take a picture of your outfit!! **

Well, I have to admit, I’ve never been too concerned with people thinking I look stupid, weird, etc. In fact, I’d venture to say I try to look different because it’s very easy to get swallowed up in the sea of sameness, especially in a game like SL, where there’s a tendency to flock to the same goodies… I see things on the feed and I get instant lemming attacks. That’s actually what got me modding Eloh’s skins in the first place… I really wanted to personalize myself. I’ve never really had anyone insult me on my look to my face.. most people ignore me honestly. Maybe my look scares people away? I don’t know. So anyways, I put on a tiny outfit today for a change and nobody said a word.. granted I wasn’t out very long but that seems to be the typical response I get, none at all.  I should add that since I typically rock a different look every time I log into SL, I didn’t feel any differently running around in a kyoot little bear outfit than I would in some fashionista getup. Okay, I did feel pretty dang precious. :D

Btw, this avatar was free but I picked up a very long time ago so I don’t know if it is still free or not. And it skates, which is adorable.
