Ok, after a little playing around I’m certain that the weird ghosts and other issues are all caused by glow. Here are some of the annoying (albeit, kinda cool) things showing up in my snapshots. Screenshots, not surprisingly, are not showing any of these issues but I didn’t think they would.

This hair has glow enabled so that’s what is causing the ghosts here. As you can see, I am a sad panda because this is effing up all my snapshots!!! >.<

I’ve been bleh lately. Kinda uninspired, bored, and just meh for no good reason really. On another topic, nearly all my snapshots lately are being effed up by that glow ghost blur thing so I haven’t really felt like having to photoshop the living daylights out of every snap. Anyways, this picture turned out pretty okay.. though now I’m annoyed by the hair/hand business but I didn’t notice it until I uploaded it to Flickr and now I’m too lazy to go back and fix it. Maybe I’ll vector it later on, that might look cool. Well I’m rambling now.. bye!

I like memes. I don’t know why, I just do. Here’s a collection of a few from this week:

SL Inventory – Yes, it only looks neat on the outside. I’m really fanatic about the outside of stuff looking neat but I don’t care too much what the inner stuff looks like.
– Open your SL inventory.
– Don’t clean up anything!
– Take a screenshot of your inventory and upload to Flickr.
– Post the instructions with your picture.

Desktop – I do keep my desktop fairly neat… I don’t like a bunch of icons cluttering up my wallpaper. It’s a picture of the Club Congress that I took a few months ago.
– Minimize all the windows.
– Don’t clean up anything!

Name 3 of your SL pet peeves. They don’t have to make sense and they can be totally crazy, but just name 3 things that bug you and discuss!

1. Ban lines just in general are made of fail. They are an eyesore and they leak through my walls even though they are up next door.. why can’t they just be invisible walls? And also, why don’t they extend all the way up? I’d very much like to keep people from just letting themselves into my skybox. Sure, I realize they can cam in but I’d far prefer them to peep from somewhere else than actually show up in my house. Actually it would be awesome if they could keep people from camming in too! A girl can dream can’t she?

2. People who complain about freebies. Honestly, if it’s not your thing, fine, don’t take it and stfu. I still remember being in a store where the owner had just set out a freebie and people were bitching about it in general chat while she was standing right there! So effing rude. And it was fine quality but it was one of those things that not everyone would be into. Ugh. Is it so hard to just not pick up a freebie if you don’t like it and leave?

3. The camera. My struggle with the horrendous camera are well documented and even though I’m better at using it, I still HATE, HATE, HATE the camera. Hate.

And I’m going to add a 4th because it’s something that just recently starting bugging me… for some reason on this latest viewer there are glow “ghosts” showing up in my snapshots. Like I’ll be near a tree that has glow on it and there will be this weird light thing that will cover my face or something in the snapshot. Very weird and annoying and it’s ruining the majority of my snapshots so I have to stick with screenshots to make sure I don’t get that which is also a pain.

I could probably condense most of my “fashion” posts into “I <3 everything my avatar wears.” I just don’t see the point in talking about fashion that I think sucks. So chances are good, if I wear it, I love it.

1. Zaara jeans are my new favorite jeans. I splurged on the fat pack and it was worth every linden.
2. AlterEgoTrip Svenska has released a whole slew of gorgeous eyes, go have a look!
3. I have a crush on Noam Sprocket and this belt he made.
4. I wear arm warmers in SL because if I went out in arm warmers where I live I’d be carted away to the loony bin. Which, really, would be for my own good.
5. ~momo~ has the most absolutely adorable cheery, colorful clothes out there. <3

In other news I’m still fiddling around with updating my subscriber kisok. I’m pretty psyched that this new update included the ability to give a gift to new subscribers. I’m crossing my fingers this will help cut down on the 1% of people who go all ape shit when they miss out on a freebie. And that in turn will help cut down on how often I curse at my computer. Everybody wins!

I took a nasty spill a few days ago and pretty much seriously effed up my back. I’m not normally the most agile of creatures but throw in something scaring the crap out of me and I’ve got a serious accident on my hands… the sad part, this is the second time I’ve fallen as a result of being startled. >.< At any rate, sitting is really painful and standing is akin to torture so my time online is going to be as long as I can bare it.. which right now, is just about to wear off. Just wanted to type a little note so everyone knew why I’ve gone missing.

Now I’m going to go lay down.

** In SL, we’re often afraid of looking silly. I’ve noticed this more with bloggers than with anyone else. Why have you made your avatar look the way it does? What does it mean to you? Well, I have to admit, I’ve never been too concerned with people thinking I look stupid, weird, etc. In fact, I’d venture to say I try to look different because it’s very easy to get swallowed up in the sea of sameness, especially in a game like SL, where there’s a tendency to flock to the same goodies… I see things on the feed and I get instant lemming attacks. That’s actually what got me modding Eloh’s skins in the first place… I really wanted to personalize myself. I’ve never really had anyone insult me on my look to my face.. most people ignore me honestly. Maybe my look scares people away? I don’t know. So anyways, I put on a tiny outfit today for a change and nobody said a word.. granted I wasn’t out very long but that seems to be the typical response I get, none at all. I should add that since I typically rock a different look every time I log into SL, I didn’t feel any differently running around in a kyoot little bear outfit than I would in some fashionista getup. Okay, I did feel pretty dang precious. :D

Btw, this avatar was free but I picked up a very long time ago so I don’t know if it is still free or not. And it skates, which is adorable.

Warhammer Online

Non SL ramble ahoy, turn back while ye can.. ye been warned. Sorry, still stuck talking like a pirate.

My husband brought home Warhammer Online the other night. I wasn’t too keen on the idea of starting another MMO, especially this close to Wrath of the Lich King coming out (already pre-ordered my CE!) so I was hesitant to try it. So far, it’s not a WoW killer for me. I’ve only explored one zone, Blighted Isle, and I love what I’ve seen, it’s gorgeous…. but laggy. The combat isn’t half bad. The queue times make me want to kick babies. And the characters aren’t much to look at visually. They are badly rendered imo and the hair just, gah, so ugly. Call me shallow, but goodness, these are some unfortunate looking folk. Let’s not even mention the fact that an entire race, the Greenskins, have no female option available. WTF. I like to play a girl since I am a girl. Call me crazy but I’m not thrilled with an entire race, not to mention classes, aren’t available to me because I’m a dork and I don’t want to play a boy.. or whatever it is that goblins are. So yeah.. meh. I did really enjoy the public quests though, I’d love to see more of that. Overall, I’m not sure I’ll keep playing it for the long haul.. right now it feels like a game that wasn’t completely finished… but it’ll be great for when all the WoW servers are down when WoTLK comes out. :P If you play, let me know which server you are on and I’ll come say hi!

I don’t have quite as much time to devote to the Beta as I was hoping, but I will risk pixel life and limb to go take cool screenshots at the very least since my input on content will be woefully lacking. And anyways you can get content news at places like mmo-champion.com. Screenshots are what I do. I am planning on doing a little Frappage of the Battle for Light’s Hope Chapel if I can ever manage to log on again while it’s going on. WoW crashed shortly after that last screenshot. But onto more Death Knight stuffs!
