Ok, totally not SL related at all.. but I <3 WoW. I did run these screenshots through a filter.. but the game is impressively beautiful in it’s own right. It’s been over 2 years since I first started playing WoW and I still love it as much as I did on day one. ^^
I was totally inspired to run out and grab a kimono after I saw this post on Red-Headed Step-Child. And I’ll admit, it’s very late and I’m very tired so I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking. Both kimonos in the pictures were freebies which is always a bonus. I also finally found a chance to wear Deviant Kitties’ Lovely Hair with the intended fan accoutrement as well as take some of my personal Geisha themed skins out for a spin. Oh and I also visited a lovely Japanese styled garden sim. So there you have it. On to the substance!

I’m exceptionally tired today so I’ll keep this post short and sweet. Sn@tch Poppet = awesomeness. I love the texture on this little mini-dress, the cute little sweater, and the fact that it comes in 3 colors, yay! I’m partial to plaid and especially partial to red plaid so this was a must buy for me and I love it. Gritty Kitty = awesomeness. I know the Czech Mate hair is a guyish hair but I wanted a short hair do and this one looked hawt on my avatar so I bought it and I lurve it. I think I’ll probably have to grab this hair for my husband’s toon because it’s freakin’ cute. So there you have it! ^^ I’m going to go take a nap.

Today’s post will consist of mostly random ramblings. Beware.
Everyday brings some new wackiness with it. I swear, not a day has gone by that I didn’t log in and my neighbor hasn’t done something absolutely effing nuts on his property. *sigh* Today it’s 6 10x10x10 cubes set to glowing. Awesome. And of course, this behavior extends to a whole different set of neighbors where I have my store. Gotta love the ginormous stone wall they built within microcentimeters of my property. Geez. But at least it’s somewhat ascetically pleasing compared to glow cube over by my personal abode. >.< I wonder what is about mainland and the no rules that just makes people go crazy with the junk. Ok, that’s my rant for today.
I love Deviant Kitties hair. LOVE. I have more DK hair than other brand and I keep going back for new styles all the time. Helyanwe Vindaloo really has a gift at making the most freakin’ fantastic hair. I picked up one of the new styles, Izzy, today and I aboslutely love it. The hairstyle comes with a little color change bow which is adorable and also has a color change coon tail extension in it that kinda lets you spice it up. Yes, this is my new favorite hairstyle.

I like to bust out the cybergoth look every once in a while since it’s a favorite of mine. What prompted me today was Cafe Society’s Flamingo Hunt gift from Long Awkward Pose! LAP has some of my absolute favorite poses in all of SL so I was super psyched and immediately went on the hunt and I was not disappointed! The poses are freakin’ awesome. Seriously, awesome. And they gave me the perfect opportunity to wear the amazing Sense hair group gift from AVZ. And I absolutely love this duster from Paradisis. It was one of the first purchases I made in Second Life and I still love it. And best of all, it’s only L$ 50 and it comes in 2 colors!! And yeah.. I’m kinda on a grungy brush kick with my pictures lately. :P

Better late than never… I remember hearing about the Calico Creations/~silentsparrow~ Flickr contest a while back but then totally forgot about it until today… so I scurried to put together my outfit! Of course, I ended up with 4 pictures and decided to reject the last pic. Let me take a minute to lavish praise upon ~silentsparrow~ and Calico Creations for their lovely things. I absolutely adore this dress, it’s the perfect shade of turquoise perfection and the texturing is just unbelievably fantastic. And of course, pair it up with the really fun and beautiful Calico Creation’s hair and you can tell they were just made for each other. ^^ And of course, I had to go to Lash’s La Reve to take pics. I just can’t help but go back there whenever I need an ethereal, gorgeous locale in which to set my pictures against. If you haven’t been to La Reve, omg, what are you waiting for? Go now. I write a bit in my spare time… I know, it’s very hard to believe considering the “quality” of writing I put out here… not to mention my deplorable punctuation. But I digress, I was listening to some Wolf Parade and was inspired to write today and one bit about a torn shirt just kept nagging at my brain. I had to see it. I couldn’t just write it, I had to visualize it. So about eight uploads later I had my torn shirt. Clothing, omg, it’s enough to make me pull my prim hair out. Making seams match up, fabrics match up, blah blah blah.. it’s argh. I finally muddled through with some stripes, but it was all worth the frustration to see it in the virtual flesh and it helped me finish up my vignette. I actually had made it to be worn by a male character but after seeing it on my Fricka, well, she had to keep it. One of these days I’ll take my hubby’s toon around to get accessorized so he can be properly photographed. Until then, it’s Fricka! The group gifts from Atomic Kitty are still available at their store.. but the hunt gifts are no longer available so far as I know.

So I have a thing for eyes…you know, in addition to my thing for hair and clothes. :P I’m fairly picky though when it comes to eyes because I have fairly large anime sized eyes in SL so most eyes tend to be on the itty bitty teeny weeny side so they look.. odd. I love my eyes from Glanz because they come in a large size but as gorgeous as they are, they don’t come in a wild array of colors so I’ve had to keep shopping around for weirder colors. I specifically had gone in search of some red eyes to use with my Drow skins so I hopped over to OnRez and did a bit of browsing. I came across these eyes from Happa and I have to say, they are lovely. I ended up going for the pack of 11 eyes for L$ 250 and I am very pleased. The price is right and the eyes are gorgeous. One thing I really liked about the eyes is that when your eyes inevitably roll back into your head these eyes are elongated so you don’t get a huge expanse of eye white. Each pair of eyes comes with 2 pupil sizes, large and normal. I opted for the large pupil size and I love the look. The individual colors are only available on OnRez but you can find the full pack as well as a demo in world. Yay for new eyes! Oh and view the picture large to really see it.

Drowiness.. not to be confused with drowsiness.. which I am suffering from right now. I found out just how difficult it is to capture a Drow with Windlight. Most settings were way way too dark and you could barely see her.. throw a face lamp on and ugh, washed out and fake. It was hard finding a middle ground while snapping these shots and since they still looked like crap I Photoshopped the heck out of them and now they are passable. I’m not usually a silks kinda person but I wanted a kinda skimpy something for my Drow to wear that wasn’t a bikini or typical lingerie and silks kinda tread the fantasy line just enough to be usable outside of fetish wear. At any rate, the Drows have arrived and I worked on snapping the ad pics tonight so hopefully I can get those squared away to release soon.. not too soon though as I’ll have to do a major rearrange of my shop to fit them in.. so much so that I may have to close for a day or two to get them into action. Anyways, onto the pics before I fall asleep… and no slurls ’cause I already logged out.. maybe tomorrow.
oOOOooh! I must squeal uncontrollably at the lovely jewelry from Illusions. Siyu Suen released a set of jewelry to go along with the Elven ears and OMG, they are just stunning. I’m only wearing the necklace in most of the pics, but I splurged for the fat pack and hope to work the other pieces into my looks on a regular basis. The pieces are truly works of art. ^^

I was stuck wearing my ultra bright radioactive facelamp instead of my more subtle one so you can definitely see how a bright lamp can blow out your face. Most of these settings are Torley Linden presets. If I hadn’t been so super lazy, I would have labeled them… but I really am super lazy.
