In the Swords v2 post I did a bit back I used the White Dra Goth outfit from Mamesando that I picked up from the Winter Creator’s Stamp Rally. Well I couldn’t resist grabbing the Black Dra Goth version that Mamesando was offering up as a gift for the Summer CSR. The entire outfit from the hair, skin, shape, eyes, etc are all included and I used it all. This version comes with a really amazing scripted sword with fantastic animations. Obviously pictures can’t do it justice so I attempted a little video to show it off. I’ve never used Sony Vegas before to edit a video so you’ll have to excuse the cheesetasticness and icky quality of it. I still am not sure how to save it as an .avi file without the size being too large for Flickr to allow so I had to save it as a .wmv which made it kinda choppy. But all that said, yay for Fraps finally working again for me! No more 4 FPS nonsense, woot!

Youtube hated me at first, and then I realized that I had to resize everything.. My friend, who is about on SL uses Vegas..but he’s a youtuber who suffered from a dreadful stalker..youtube doesn’t seem to mind haters or stalkers but once someone accuses someone of copyright violation, or contract violantion.. they get rid of an account. Such is the case with that friend. :(
Thats probably why I’m running cold on youtube after all this time..but you have Flickr, it shouldn’t be any problem posting videos with your pro account. But the reason youtube had a problem with your video was it may have been too “large” (over 100mb) but they pretty much accept many formats.. But if you upload larger they do have an uploader for that.
I’ve got to get Fraps– I did a ahort animation with a DiVX program it also seemed to work…The newer version of wmv looks really great..vista had some nice effects and transition not found on MY EP version..but we’ve been collectively experiementing with Adobe Premere Pro- and it like Vegas, saves to avi.
I know you don’t seem to think so much of this little experiment you have done, but its a great start, like taking a first step or first word! :) I can’t wait to see more!
Youtube and I have never gotten along… I think I’ve been trying for almost a year to have it upload videos and it just stalls after it starts to upload, I don’t know why. I tried it with my smallest file size of 12 MB and it still hung up on it after the download started. So luckily Flickr works, at least to a degree. I wish it allowed slightly larger file sizes because the .avi looked much better, ah well.
I love Fraps, it’s so easy to use! And Sony Vegas, while a bit of a learning curve for a noob like myself, is a pretty impressive bit of software, I really enjoyed using it despite not know what I was doing lol. I definitely can’t wait to make another video… I already have an idea churning! :D
