I’ve been vaguely aware of the Petites craze but never really knew much about them beyond the couple of snapshots I’d see pop up on blogs and what not. The other day I was dropped a notecard about a HUD that allows skin makers to sell skins to modify the Petites. I wasn’t sure if my skins would even translate well to the little avatar so I bought one to give it a go. Of course, two seconds after I bought it I realized I needed hair and clothes and promptly went on the hunt for those. >.< At any rate, the end result of my skins on the avatar isn’t awful and I may look into it if there’s some interest.

*sweeps the cobwebs away* Yeah, I really dropped off the radar there. It’s been ages since I really spent any length of time in SL and even longer since I last posted here… I’m not entirely sure what happened really. I think I stopped posting because I got super into Tumblr and pretty much posted everything I had to say over there… and as for SL, well, I guess I just found myself no longer motivated to do anything so I gradually drifted away. Isn’t it really sad when that happens?
But, I’ve found myself logging into SL a bit more lately, mostly to decorate for autumn. And that required dressing up in a suitably autumn-ish ensemble and wearing these glorious horns from Plastik.

Ruina Kessel of .{Rue}. has created an awe inspiring new line of skins that truly are works of art. If you’ve ever lamented the lack of fantasy skins in SL, fret no more because Ruina has you more than covered. She made a billion colors (60 to be exact), of which you are certain to spend hours agonizing over which one to wear. And she even named a skintone after me that made me squeee with fangirlish delight. <3 In the pic I’m showing off the Damu skintone that looks beyond brilliant with this lovely little ensemble from Evie’s Closet.

The new coats and pants from [][]TRAP[][] are made of pure win. Actually everything made by Selos Dae is made of pure win. In other news, Ruina Kessel continues to indulge my horn fetish with amazing new horn styles and ellantha Larsson updated my most favorite piercing ever. <3
I should mention that this snapshot took an obscene amount of time to make between disappearing sculpties, my being stupid and SL being an ass. But here it is, I hope it does the content justice.

Today I’m wearing orange to bid a fond blogging farewell to my favorite SL fashion blogger extraordinaire, Achariya. Her blog has been a source of inspiration for me since I came across it soon after starting to play SL in late ’07. I’d like to credit her with my staying in SL because her blog showed how much more SL had to offer besides the skank look I’d mostly been finding up to that point. Acha has such an adventurous sense of style that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. Week 18 & 19 of Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color Blogger Challenge are Ecru and Umber.
Dragon Age 2 is out and that means I’m once again afflicted with fangirl obsession syndrome which means each and every free second I have I’ve spent playing, modding and gabbing about it. It is such a good game I can’t even begin to start to tell you how amazing it is. It’s my excuse for smooshing two colors into one week again. I’m not a huge earth tones person so these two colors were really difficult for me. But, this dress from Silent Sparrow has them both so yay!
